Hello again.

I've returned safely from Iceland a couple of days ago. Unfortunately I have to inform you that NORTH is delayed to the 12th of October now as they had some problems with the printing of the booklet.
As kind of compensation for the delay I have uploaded you a recording of a small live ambient concert I gave at the Culture Night here in Ulm.
You find it here: false_mirror_live_at_kulturnacht_ulm.mp3 [68.3 MB].
It was a complete improvisation so please condone me a few slips.

Enjoy!
False Mirror

PS: Iceland was a great experience, wonderful bizarre landscapes ranging from sand desert to lava fields overgrown with green moss...

We had rent a car for the first 9 days and used it to drive around the island, stopping nearly every 30 minutes as there was so much to see (waterfalls, mountains, geysir, sulfur fields...) and also made a few day trips.
The second part was - after short stop in Reykjavik - trekking the Laugavegur, a 55km 'path' (there were mostly just sticks marking the way) from Landmannalaugar to Þórsmörk. We made it in 4 stages. On the second one we had extreme winds. I nearly couldn't withstand them and was pushed to the ground often. Before the descent (from about 1200m to 600m) we had to pass a small plateau (about 10m wide and maybe 80m long with steep slopes of about 400m to the left and 200m to the right). I tried just to stand in the wind (with my trekking poles, without would have been completely impossible) but it pushed me towards the left edge, so I went prone (resp. the wind did) and tried to crawl, but it still pushed me towards the edge. So everything I could do was clinging on a small rock and protecting my face (the storm was carrying along sand and little stones) and wait until someone of my friends came back and helped me. Unfortunately the wind had torn away my camera on this place and thrown it down the mountain.
The rest of the trekking part was much calmer.
On the remaining days we stayed in Reykjavik, went to museums, did some city sightseeing and shopping and had a pleasureable rest in the famous Blue Lagoon.
