False Mirror is a musical project created in 2006 by Tobias Hornberger, melting borders between atmospheric drones and layered melodic patterns. Inspired by industrial derelicts, vast wastelands and empty spaces, the music is composed of multi-textural layers created from field recordings, electronics and various instruments, and modified with custom audio processing algorithms.
Next to False Mirror, Tobias also had a couple of more semi-rhythmic releases as both Gras and Tobias Hornberger.
While previous False Mirror albums have been released on different labels, such as Malignant Records, future albums are planned to be released on the dedicated False Mirror label.
